Ligue 1 Live 09/02/13

Coming up at 19:00 will be life updates from all tonight’s Ligue 1 games. Live commentary with James Martland.  Refresh the page for the latest updates:

FT: Valenciennes 2-1 Brest: A fantastic game from start to finish, full of goals, chances and near misses. Melikson has settled into his new side well and linked brilliantly with Dossevi. A welcome win for the home side, who had not won in five before this.

FT: Troyes 0-0 Sochaux: A poor game and a result that suits neither party. Sochaux will have wanted a win away at 19th placed Troyes and the home side will have seen it as one of their best remaining chances to get a win. Both remain entangled in the relegation scrap.

FT: Ajaccio 1-0 Bordeaux: A poor, poor result for the away side, who dominated throughout, but did not find an end product. David Bellion is not good enough to lead their attacking line. They now sit 6th, but have failed to capitalise on Nice’s draw. A great win for Ajaccio, however, who are now in 13th.

FT: Nice 1-1 Lorient: Puel will see this as two points dropped, but Lorient are becoming a very hard team to beat. Nice now in 5th, Lorient 8th. It was a fairly poor match throughout, which sprang into life for ten minutes.

FT: Nancy 1-2 Reims: A tale of two halves. First half, the home side were brilliant and deservedly led going into the break. Reims hit back straight away though in the second and pick up three valuable points that puts them into 16th place. Lossing games like this is the reason why Nancy are bottom. They just can not hold onto a lead.

20:47: GOAL BREST: Its too late to salvage a point, one would think, but Penneteau losses his clean-sheet. Loanee and substitute Raspentino pulls one back for the visitors in injury time.

20:45 STAT: Bordeaux have only put 7 of their 14 shots on target. A 50% accuracy rate. One can see whats letting them down…Sochaux, meanwhile, have only put 5 out of 12 on target.

20:44: Nearing injury time around the grounds. Bordeaux, Sochaux and Nice still searching for winners and Nancy, an equiliser

20:41: Goalscorer Ayite comes off for Reims and is replaced by De Preville. Nancy also make two subs. Moukandjo and Joachim come on.

20:38 GOAL NICE: Almost an instant reply as Puel’s side level. Eysseric scores after good work from Pied. The substitute is providing much energy down the wing. Lorient goalkeeper Audard probably should have done better. Possible hint of offside in there as well. Now 1-1

20:37: Mostefa and Oliech come on for Ajaccio as they look to protect this fragile lead. Bordeaux still dominating almost everywhere on the field.

20:32: GOAL LORIENT: Nice now need two, as this game finally wakes up. Mareque with a brilliant solo effort. He must have beaten three or more defenders before firing home. Now Nice 0-1 Lorient. The away side now level on points with Nice as it stands.

20:31: Bordeaux still dominating in Ajaccio, but have failed to register any more shots. Their Champions League charge does appear to be wearing thin.

20:29: Nancy still look shell shocked, but are starting to get back into the game. They are tending to move forward by using the pace of the talented Bakar on the right.

20:27:  Winger and ex-Lyon man Jeremy Pied comes on for Nice to try to add some attacking impetus. They need a win to stay 4th, after the St Etienne result earlier

20:25: Sankhare comes on for Nguette for Valenciennes as they look to put the game to bed. Currently 2-0 up and still dominating. Game not a lively as in the first half though.

20:23: Troyes are replacing striker Bahebeck for 17 year old Jean, who missed an absolute sitter against Lyon the other week, as they look for a winner. Is that really the answer. I might be wrong, but I think not!

20:21: Bordeaux are completely in control away at Ajaccio, but still find themselves behind. Maurice-Belay has just come on for the visitors.

20:20:  Loties comes on for Ayasse for Nancy, as the home side look to bring on some fresh legs.

20:18: Nancy crashing back down to bottom as it stands. One has to feel for them. They were brilliant in the first half. Its as if they used all their energy up. Being ran ragged now.

20:15: GOAL REIMS: Oh my word. Nancy have let this one slip. After battering the Reims goal in the first half and only scoring one, Reims have turned it around. Ayite played the ball in from the left hand side and the substitute Fortes could not miss. Now Nancy 1-2 Reims

20:13: The Valenciennes game has not kicked into gear yet in this second half. Only one chance! Le Tallec has headed wide. Should have done better.

20:12: Troyes replace Ngoyi with Thiago, as Sochaux continue to pile on the pressure for no reward.

20:10: Bordeaux have started the second half the better, as they look for an equiliser away at Ajaccio. They just can not find an end product yet.

20:09: Reims on the attack again. They appear to be using the momentum from that goal and have won a corner. This match has completly changed this half.

20:05 GOAL REIMS: Reims have drawn level straight away. Nancy will regret missed opportunities. Krychowiak sets up Ayite, who scores a screamer. What a strike. He cut inside from the wing and hit one past Gregorini.  Now 1-1

20:02: A few substitutions being made and half time. Raspentino on for Brest.  Fortes on for Reims

20:00 We are starting to get back underway.

HT: Nice 0-0 Lorient: What should be the game of the day has not lived up to its expectations so far. Puel’s men have been the better team, but have lacked the final ball on various occasions. One can only hope that this gets better in the second half.

HT: Valenciennes 2-0 Brest: This has been a brilliant game so far. Both sides look dangerous going forward, but it is only the home team that have found an end product so far. Dossevi and Melikson are working brilliantly together down the right. Expect more goals in this one.

HT: Troyes 0-0 Sochaux: The away side have really taken the game to the team that currently sits at the bottom of the table, as results stand. Sochaux need a win. They are just two points clear of the drop.

HT: Ajaccio 1-0 Bordeaux: Bordeaux have been the better side and really should be in front. They find themselves behind, however, due to a brilliant finish from Faty. Fantastic overhead kick. Expect a second half fightback from the away side.

19:46: GOAL VALENCIENNES: We told you that there would be more goals. The captain Rudy Mater pops up to double the home side’s lead. 2-0

HT: Nancy 1-0 Reims: A fantastic half from the home side. Its the best that they have played all season and they are starting to show us what they can do! If it finished this way, they would go above Reims, who look in real trouble, and be in 18th, a point from safety. Survival looks very much on. They need to make sure they take their chances, cos any thing but a win would be points dropped, on this first half display anyway.

19:44: Sochaux are starting to take the game to Troyes. Privat could just have scored, but his shot went wide.

19:41: Nancy still dominating against Reims. Could be more up, even though their manager has admitted that they are 99% down.

19:38: What a save by Thebaux, after a shot from Valenciennes’ Rose. Both goalkeepers have been on top of their games so far this match.

19:38: Puel’s men are dominating Lorient in Nice. No goal yet though. Fairly quiet around the grounds as we speak. Waiting for this game to really get started still.

19:36 Valenciennes V Brest has been the tie of the evening so far. Both sides look very dangerous, even though the home side have dominated possession. Still 1-0, but I am sure that there are goals left in this one.

19:30 GOAL AJACCIO: The league suddenly comes to life, as Faty pulls off an acrobatic finish to put the home side in front. This game finally wakes up!

19:30 GOAL NANCY: Its been coming. They have controlled the game from the start and Puygrenier taps the ball in, after Agassa had a header saved. On this performance so far, the bottom club can stay up!

19: 30: Fairly even in Troyes V Sochaux so far. Both sides look dangerous going forward, but neither have managed to score yet. 0-0

19:28: Ajaccio V Bordeaux has not really got going yet.  There has been one shot, from Ben Khalfallah of Bordeaux, but it fizzed wide. still 0-0

19:25: Dossevi and new signing Melikson are linking up brilliantly for Valenciennes. A lovely one-two in the end comes to nothing

19:22 SUBSTITUTION: Bordeaux are forced into an early change, as Mariano comes off. Faubert comes on.

19:19 Penneteau has made a string of great save here, to keep his side in from. Brest searching for an equiliser.

19:15 Nancy completely taking the game to Reims here. They are dominating possession. Bakar has had a few shots so far. He looks dangerous down the right

19:10 GOAL VALENCIENNES: Mathieu Dossevi scores after a corner. Valenciennes were piling the pressure on. They need a win against Brest as their form has dipped in recent weeks. They have not won in five, in fact. 1-0
