Game of the week: AS Monaco v RC Lens, Saturday 20:00 (UK)
Table-topping Monaco come up against Lens on Saturday. Adi Hütter’s side are currently the most exciting in Ligue 1, but they come up against a bogey team, who had their number last season. Lens beat Monaco by a three-goal margin in both games during the last campaign, but Franck Haise’s side are struggling to re-find last season’s form in the early days of the current campaign. Monaco isn’t the easiest place to get your season back on track.
Lyon are another side that are desperate for points. Like Lens, Les Gones have just one point this season, picked up during a tepid goalless draw at Nice last weekend. Reports suggest that Laurent Blanc needs a result to save his job, and he may find that a difficult task. Luis Enrique’s side looked to finally click into gear last weekend, dismantling Lens. Lyon’s low-block will provide a much different test, however.
