Wilson Odobert travelling to England before signing five-year Burnley deal

Le Parisien‘s Benjamin Quarez is reporting that ESTAC Troyes forward Wilson Odobert (18) will travel to England this evening before signing a five-year deal with newly-promoted Burnley.

According to Foot MercatoBurnley’s offer for Odobert was accepted back in late July. The publication reported the fee to be around €12m, and this has been confirmed by Quarez, who reports that the figure does not include bonuses. The France youth international will now travel to England, and all being well, he will sign a five-year deal with Vincent Kompany’s side.

Troyes, part of the City Group, struggled last season and were relegated to Ligue 2.  However, despite the club’s struggles, Odobert thrived, scoring seven goals and registering two assists in all competitions. The Ligue 2 campaign got underway over the weekend, but Odobert didn’t feature as Troyes drew against Dunkerque.

According to Marc Mechenoua, Burnley are targeting further French reinforcements. Galatasaray defender Sacha Boey is also reportedly a target.
