Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat wants Atletico Madrid move

Foot Mercato are reporting that Fiorentina’s defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat (26), one of Morocco’s standout players during the World Cup, is currently favouring a move to Atletico Madrid. Amrabat caught the eye of many European top clubs for his all-action activity, vision and energy in Qatar, helping Morocco become the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the competition.

Foot Mercato reported that Liverpool’s coach Jürgen Klopp, keen on bolstering his struggling midfield, met with the player’s entourage. But it appears the Fiorentina player does not favor a move to the Premier League.

Foot Mercato report that, having discussed options with his entourage, Amrabat has set his sights on joining Atletico Madrid. According to him, the Spanish outfit, currently fifth-placed in La Liga standings, “ticks all the boxes” for allowing to continue his progress. All remains to be seen now is whether the Civitas Metropolitano side actually wants to enter negotiation with Fiorentina regarding the Moroccan’s future. Amrabat is tied to a contract that expires in 2024 with the Serie A outfit and it is reported that Fiorentina won’t allow him to leave on the cheap.
