Paris Philharmonic Orchestra to host Zinedine Zidane visual exposition in October

The Philharmonie de Paris will be hosting a sound and visual exposition centred around Zinedine Zidane starting in October, as well as “match-concerts” for the Rugby World Cup taking place this fall in France, according to L’Équipe.

While Lionel Messi was recently honoured with a statue at the CONMEBOL headquarters, Zinedine Zidane will have his own exhibition at the Philharmonie de Paris in October. “Zidane, A 21st Century Portrait,” originally a film released in cinemas in 2006, immerses visitors in a football match between Real Madrid and Villarreal. The game was filmed in real-time in 2005 at the Santiago-Bernabéu stadium in Madrid.

Seventeen large screens will spatially distribute specific sound content, inviting visitors to dive into “the breath of Zidane, his inner voice, the sound of collisions on the pitch, the chants of supporters, the sounds of bodies colliding and the strikes of the ball.” This will be accompanied by original music from the Scottish post-rock band Mogwai.
