Montpellier interested in signing Yacine Titraoui from Paradou

Montpellier are interested in signing Yacine Titraoui (20) from Algerian club Paradou, according to L’Équipe. The Algerian U20 international is a target for Le MHSC as they attempt to reinforce their midfield in the January transfer window.

Paradou are the club responsible for producing internationally recognised Algerian talents like Ramy Bensebaini of Borussia Dortmund and Youcef Atal of Nice. The Algerian first division club are set to command €800k plus bonuses for the 20-year-old. Titraoui has played more than 60 appearances in the Algerian top flight.

Montpellier could also be forced to reinforce their defence in the January transfer window. Former Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been suspended following a fight with head coach Michel Der Zakarian in training. This suspension is likely to see Montpellier light in central defence until the January transfer window unless they explore options in the joker window which allows French clubs to sign players domestically.
