Lorient and Metz interested in loaning Lyon’s Amin Sarr

L’Équipe are reporting that FC Lorient and FC Metz are both interested in taking Olympique Lyonnais forward Amin Sarr (22) on loan.

Sarr arrived for €11m from Heerenveen back in January, but he has struggled to show his quality since arriving in Ligue 1. In 18 matches for Les Gones, he has just one goal and one assist. He has found chances limited given Alexandre Lacazette’s standing in the squad, but when he has been given the chance, he has failed to take it. He registered an anonymous appearance against OGC Nice. The Swedish striker started in the absence of the suspended Lacazette.

Metz and Lorient could now offer him a route out of Lyon and allow him to rediscover his confidence. Both Ligue 1 sides are looking to sign the Swede on loan without a purchase option. Metz are in the market for a new striker following Georges Mikautadze’s (22) move to Ajax. According to Foot MercatoWolfsburg are also interested in signing Sarr before the end of the transfer window.
