Strasbourg predicted XI v Monaco: Habib Diarra to return alongside Jean-Ricner Bellegarde in midfield

Habib Diarra, who was absent for RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Ligue 1 opener against Olympique Lyonnais, is set to return to the starting lineup against AS Monaco on Sunday.

Diarra will likely start alongside Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Jessy Deminguet with Patrick Vieira set to once again deploy a 5-3-2 formation. There are no major fresh injury concerns for Les Alsaciens. Emmanuel Emegha struggled during his debut for the club, despite Strasbourg’s 2-1 victory over Les Gones. However, he will likely have a different strike partner against Les Monégasques. According to L’Équipe, Kevin Gameiro is set to get the nod over Lebo Mothiba, who scored during last week’s victory. Ângelo Gabriel, currently on loan at Strasbourg from partner club Chelsea, is not expected to start, although he is in the matchday squad.
