Wolves submit €25m bid for Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra

Wolverhampton Wanderers have submitted a €25m bid for RC Strasbourg Alsace midfielder Habib Diarra (19), according to L’Équipe

The opening offer from the Premier League side is yet to receive a response, according to L’Équipe. However, the fee offered by the English side is €5m more than RC Lens’ last bid for the France youth international. Strasbourg have thus far been insistent on retaining Diarra. However, Les Alsaciens now seem more open to his departure before the end of the window.

L’Équipe reported that Wolves would test the waters with an opening offer, and whilst the Ligue 1 side have not yet responded to the €25m offer – which includes bonuses – they are expected to soon. L’Équipe also reported earlier this week that Wolves were interested in Diarra’s midfield teammate – Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (25). The publication went so far as to state that a €15m offer had been submitted, whilst OGC Nice are also interested in the Alsacien.
