Greek media is instant that the arrival of Marseille’s attacking midfielder Morgan Amalfitano is imminent after OM and Olympiakos agreed a transfer fee in the past days.
Although the Greek side only had the intention of loaning the player, Marseille have convinced them otherwise and the two clubs have now agreed a fee between €2.5m-€3m. The player must now agree personal terms with Olympiakos, which is not likely to be an easy task.
Get French Football News understands that until very recently, Amalfitano refused to return contact with Olympiakos, hoping for a move to the Premier League. He has been linked with Hull City, Fulham and West Ham United but Greek media understand that Olympiakos have even scheduled a medical for the player.
Although, no personal terms have been agreed yet, this transfer is now more likely than ever.
