Monaco predicted XI v Nantes: In-form Takumi Minamino to start as Adi Hütter expected to name unchanged side

AS Monaco have had a near-perfect start to the season, winning their first two games of the season and scoring seven goals in the process. It therefore comes as no surprise that Adi Hütter is expected to name an unchanged side.

Takumi Minamino has looked reborn this season after a difficult debut season in the Principality. He will keep his place in Monaco’s attack, alongside Wissam Ben Yedder and Aleksandr Golovin. Both would almost certainly have kept their place in the starting XI regardless of Eliesse Ben Seghir’s injury, which will rule him out until the international break.

There are question marks further back as players return to fitness. Guillermo Maripán was absent from the victory over RC Strasbourg Alsace over the weekend, but he returns. His return could push one of Denis Zakaria, Soungoutou Magassa or Wilfried Singo out of the starting XI. Zakaria, naturally a holding midfielder, could move out of the defence and displace either Mohamed Camara or Youssouf Fofana. Amidst questions over his future at the club, Ruben Aguilar has not been included in the matchday squad.

Monaco likely lineup v Nantes

Philipp Köhn; Soungoutou Magassa, Denis Zakaria, Wilfried Singo; Caio Henrique, Mohamed Camara, Youssouf Fofana, Vanderson; Aleksandr Golovin, Wissam Ben Yedder, Takumi Minamino.
